ADDRESS HISTORY

In practice an Address History should be run prior to any criminal search when the subject, and his previous addresses, are not known by the requestor. This search will provide the addresses which will be the basis for subsequent criminal checks. Without this search counties and states where the subject has resided previously, and may have
a criminal record, may be missed.

If you have a need to search more than one county in a metro area we offer a reduced price for 2 or more counties. Many cities reside within the boundries of more than one county. This is a good way to make sure that you cover all the counties in the entire city

COUNTY RECORDS
|
County records provide the best source of determining whether your subject has a criminal record. However, in order to do a comprehensive search it is necessary that you know where the subject has lived. This can only be accomplished by performing an address search. If you as our client depend upon the address information provided by the your subject, the counties where criminal information resides may be intentionaly omitted.

STATE RECORDS
|
Some state reports have been found to be missing data. This happens when counties fail to forward criminal data to the state level. Crimcheck will not be responsible for data missing from from state reports. Still, state criminal checks offer a bargain if the subject has moved frequently within the state.

FEDERAL RECORDS
|
Most major cities in the U.S. have a Federal Court. Federal courts have jurisdiction over over federal offenses and offenses that cover more than one state, such as drug smuggling, customs violations, interstate firearms violations, etc.. It is conceivable that a person could have no record at the county and state leval but could have a record at the Federal level. This should be considered when ordering criminal checks.
